Xiaomi expanded its Note series by launching Mi Note 3 which features a metal frame with 3D curved glass on the rear and front. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
It runs on the latest Android v7.0 Nougat based MIUI 9. There is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor that uses the custom Kryo 260 cores clocked up to 2.2 GHz coupled up with Adreno 512 GPU. It also offers the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology and 6 GB of RAM.
Camera department: There is a 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup on the rear. We have seen the same setup on the Mi 6, Mi 5X, and Mi A1 smartphones. It also comes with 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) with 2X optical zoom.
For selfies, you get 16 MP front camera with AI Beautify. It is backed by a 3500 mAh non-removable battery and does support Quick Charge 3.0 using the USB Type-C port. It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.
As usual in Mi, there is an IR Blaster for controlling electronics like TV, AC and more. Talking about the colors there is a Black color variant of the Mi Note 3 with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage is priced at 2499 Yuan (approx Rs. 24,500 / $383) and 2899 Yuan (approx $445 / Rs. 28,500).
There is also a Blue color variant with 128GB of storage that costs 2999 Yuan (approx Rs. 29,500 / $460) respectively. The Mi Note 3 measures 152.6 x 73.95 x 7.6 mm and weighs 163 grams.
